Jane DO: Where Representation Matters

By: Cristin Van Horn

The landscape of wellness and fitness is changing, and with it, the need for more diverse representation. At Jane DO, we believe that empowerment isn't just about one story, one voice, or one face. It's about celebrating the unique differences each person brings to the table.

While we've built our foundation on empowering women, we recognize that this doesn't stop at a single demographic. We acknowledge that our current representation doesn't fully reflect the diverse communities we serve, and we're committed to changing that.

The Black and Brown community is underrepresented in the fitness and wellness space, and we understand that making fitness accessible and creating a welcoming environment can be transformative and even life-saving. We're extending our hand to say, "You belong here, too."

We know this conversation can be uncomfortable, but change requires stepping outside our comfort zone. We're showing up authentically to say that we want Jane DO to represent the world we live in and the women we seek to empower – all women.

This is particularly crucial because chronic illnesses disproportionately affect communities of color. We believe that creating safe, inclusive spaces can be a powerful tool in addressing these health disparities.

Empowerment isn't about fitting everyone into the same mold; it's about recognizing and celebrating individual differences. It's about lifting each other up, learning from diverse stories, and embracing an inclusive approach to wellness that benefits all.

Our mission to empower women includes all women, regardless of color, background, or body type. We're calling out to diverse women who have ever considered owning their own fitness studio but felt barriers holding them back. Jane DO is committed to dismantling these barriers and welcoming you into a movement that strives to be as diverse and inclusive as the community it serves.

We want our studios to be mirrors of the world outside, where every woman can see herself reflected, represented, and respected. Jane DO is more than a fitness brand; it's a platform where empowerment is for every woman.

This journey towards inclusivity is not one we can embark on alone. It requires your stories, your visions, and your voices. We're committed to creating more opportunities for diverse women to own and operate Jane DO studios. Consider this an invitation to join us, to DO something impactful together, and to create spaces where wellness and empowerment are available to everyone.

To those who are ready to be part of this change, Jane DO is ready for you. Your uniqueness is your power, and together, we can reshape the fitness and wellness industry to reflect the beautiful diversity of the world around us. Let's DO this – for every woman, everywhere.
