I Had a Tuscan Love Affair… and You Can Too

For many of us, there are places that hold a specialness and resonate in ways words can barely describe. Maybe it's your hometown or an exotic place you've traveled to. For me, Tuscany is absolutely one of those places. My life's journey has always been about empowering women, fostering community, and embarking on adventures that challenge me (hello Rockettes!) to reach beyond my limits. But in the more recent years of my life, and becoming a mother has only furthered this experience, I have found more specialness in adventures that bring me peace. The love affair I have with Tuscany is deeply personal and colored with nostalgia, romance, family, and grounding.
It was under the wine-hued (or should I say soaked) Tuscan sun that I got engaged. Not too far in time, amidst the rolling hills and vineyard-carpeted landscapes of Italy, I experienced another pivotal life moment, the marriage of my sister-in-law, which also happened to be the first time I traveled with my daughter, Leni. The culture, family, love, celebration, and milestones mixed with the raw beauty of the Italian countryside, truly left me breathless at times. And frankly still pulls at my heartstrings when I think back to it.
These events are milestones defined not just by their personal significance but by the backdrop that embraced and elevated each moment. I firmly believe that you don't need Italian roots to fall deeply in love with Tuscany, the beauty and warmth of this place are universally touching.
Tuscany is a testament to life's endless beauty and romance. It’s where the wine flows as generously as the stories shared across the dinner table. The food, simple in ingredients but rich in flavor, tells the story of the land and its generous offerings. It seems at though every meal, every shared conversation and glass of wine, is an invitation to slow down, savor, and connect.
Bringing Jane DO to this captivating setting wasn't an accident. It is more than a travel experience to a beautiful place, it's a way for me to share part of my history and something deeply personal with my community. For me, it's an opportunity to share the transformative power of the gorgeous landscapes, to explore strength and vulnerability, and to foster connections that uplift and inspire.
